The Challenge:

He wants mounts and leather furniture - She wants a light and bright beach home.

White cabinetry throughout keeps this family friendly great room bright and airy. A blue island brings a pop of color and adds to the beach feel. Stacked stone in light tones with a touch of brown helps bring in a rustic feel and coordinate with the leather and mounts.

Two people, two styles, one lovely home.

The Challenge:

Breathe new life into a tired, closed off old farmhouse and give it  fresh open feel.

Every square inch of this old farmhouse needed updating. The rooms were small and made the home feel dark and closed off. We removed a wall and completely redesigned the kitchen creating a bright and open feel. It was important to the family to salvage and reuse as much as possible in the home. Glass cabinets from the den were refurbished and incorporated into the kitchen design. The original moldings were restored and replaced preserving the homes original character. On the fireplace, our skilled craftsman cut new tiles from the old fireplace stone. The original stained glass window remained in the living room. We designed a custom vanity for the powder room that maintained the character of the home. the result is a bright modern farmhouse that will serve this family for many more generations.

An Orthopedic Clinic Gets a Modern Update

A Marriage of Styles...

The Challenge:

Work with an existing floor and color palette to create a timeless calming waiting area.

We thought a lot about patient psychology as we pondered the design of this space. It was important for us to create a soothing, calming space so patients can feel relaxed while they wait to be seen. No body comes to the doctor because they feel good. They come because they are hurt and are nervous about their diagnosis. We used the elements of feng shui to create a space that is as calming as it is beautiful. The client wanted modern yet timeless furnishings that would look beautiful for a long time and not go out of style after a few years. We were able to achieve this by bringing in a combination of traditional and transitional furnishings. We brought the warm tones up from the floor in the lamps and also in the beautiful artwork by Mallory Winters Photography. The result ~ quite possibly the prettiest doctors office you'll ever set foot in!
